Born in Como (Italy) in 1976 and raised in south Switzerland. Since young age, I've been fascinated with paleontology and arts. In fact, art itself has been part of my genetic heritage, since being related to the Swiss painter Anita Spinelli, among the first Swiss Italian women to graduate from the Accademia di Brera in Milano. Furthermore, the world of Japanese animations during the 1980s, especially the works of Go Nagai, but also Leiji Matsumoto's Galaxy Express 999 and Akemi Takada's character design in Kimagure Orange Road, probably contributed to set a passion for visual art in my heart.

Last but not least, the arrival of the Commodore 64 in my home also opened my eyes to the world of computers.

After High School, I gradually moved my interests towards medias and journalism, to finally realize my true love is with design. Therefore, I decided to start studying visual communication at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI) in Lugano, Switzerland. There, I had the chance to learn a lot thanks to some great teachers, such as Bruno Monguzzi, Paolo Jannuzzi and Luciano Rigolini. During these years, I looked at web design as my future.

Combining my passion for fossils and design, I graduated in 2003 with a thesis dedicated to Monte San Giorgio (UNESCO World Heritage List), designing a mobile touristic guide on a Palm Pilot, far before iPhones were common.

After my graduation, I had the chance to work for companies, Foundations and even my College, discovering Joomla!, WordPress and interaction design.
